More felt sculptures

I've posted a few pictures of some new sculptures of felted wool. I went on a dying craze and hand dyed a whole bunch of colors. The phoenix sculptures are are the first two made from this new wool.

I was talking about specifically "Fea" it's kinda creepy in a poetic way. Yet scary enough to make me feel happy that its pictures were taken during daylight.

[I bet Fea would look lovely under the nightsky and with proper lighting it would be an awesome concept for nightlife too] :)

Aaaaah, gotcha!

I've gotten that creepy comment about Fea before. I don't know if it is the somber colors and muted tones created by the wool or just the crying faces that creates the "creepy" effect.

My goal was to show distress and the dire struggle of the situation. Fea's story is about death, but she is also a hero and saves the day in the end. Perhaps I should have made her more shiny. :)
